If it’s November it must be Oyster Supper Time!
ENJOY AN OLD-FASHIONED OYSTER SUPPER
SAT., NOV. 17th
Join us on Saturday, November 17th at Lima Church for our 73rd year of successful fall oyster feasts. Hundreds come from miles away as well as from the community to make it a family tradition each fall and spring. Not only will there be fresh Chesapeake oysters that are breaded and fried to juicy perfection, but also on the menu for the non-seafood lovers will be sliced ham or chicken nuggets. All choices include french fries, green beans, stewed tomatoes, pepper hash, applesauce, rolls, locally baked pie, and a beverage.
“A group of us drive down to Kent Narrows, Maryland the day before the event and pick up our large order of fresh oysters“, said Jim Steinman who heads up the event. “We’ve continued this tradition, to guarantee freshness for over 70 years.” Proceeds from the dinner support the projects and missions of Lima’s United Methodist Men.
Tickets for the Oyster Supper are available for the Saturday, November 17th supper and you may choose the “seating” time you prefer: 4 pm, 5 pm, or 6 pm. “Take out” dinners or individual oysters (fresh or fried) are available from 4 PM until 7 PM.
